An Introduction to Dynamic Glass: What it is, how it works and why it's important (SG19-1)
Course Description:
This course describes dynamic glass technologies, how they work and where they are applied. It also provides data and case studies on both the human and sustainability benefits the technology offers.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the performance of electrochromic (EC) glazing and how it can be used to solve the competing challenge of simultaneously achieving energy performance, daylight and views, and human comfort.
- Analyze the aesthetic performance of next-generation EC glazing and how it works compared to conventional solar control solutions.
- Examine the human factors benefits of electrochromic glazing.
- Explain how electrochromic systems can be controlled to meet energy performance and user comfort needs.
