Understanding LEED 09 VS LEED Ver 4; Driving Transparency (BSS66)

Course Description:

This course details the key changes to the USGBC LEED version 4 criteria compared to LEED 2009. It explains the increased technical rigor and standards as well as describes the products that meet the updated requirements. At the end of this course, participants should be able to explain changes to the rating system and confidently adopt LEED v4 on upcoming projects.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key improvements in LEED version 4 compared to LEED 2009. Describe new credits applicable to building products and their requirements
  • Understand the new importance of products with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Health Product Declarations (HPDs), and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs
