Course Description:
This course provides a general overview of various roofing underlayment options - product options (including their similarities and differences), features and benefits, installation requirements and concerns (both standard and unique).
Learning Objectives:
- 1. Understand roofing underlayment options and the differences between:
- a. embossed film, sand & granulated fully-adhered underlayments
- b. mechanically attached underlayments
- 2. Understand various code requirements regarding roofing underlayment
- 3. Understand where to install roofing underlayment
- 4. Understand design and application considerations such as:
- a. ventilation
- b. deck considerations
- c. compatibility
- d. high temperature considerations
