The Systems Approach to Designing a House: Part 2 (0BSP33)

Course Description:

After completing all three parts of the series, you will be able to:

  • Explain why building science is both an art and a science Identify one or more of the laws governing each of these house-system dynamics: the flow of heat, the flow of air, and the flow of moisture.
  • Describe one or more of the problems and solutions that arise in the house-system due to the dynamics of heat, air and moisture flow.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain why building science is both an art and a science
  • Identify the major flows of energy and material that drive the dynamics of a house
  • Describe the basic dynamics of heat flow
  • Describe one or more of the problems and solutions that arise in the house-system due to the dynamics of heat
